A seven-member (7) board appointed by Council for six-year (6) terms.  The Board meets on call.  The Board is established pursuant to TCA 48-101-301 et seq.  All members are required to be city residents at time of appointment and maintain city residency during the entire term of office. 

Approves bond issues for medical and educational facilities. 

This board meets only to authorize special financing bonds related to education or hospital facilities. 

The City Attorney coordinates this boar's activities.
